For the third consecutive year, AIST will be running the Superannuation Insurance Symposum (SIS) with support from our Platinum Industry Partner, MetLife.

In 2009 SIS will cover such topics as public policy, pricing, employer issues - TPD and salary continuance, state of the art design, claims, mental health and more.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)

The UNHCR agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees.

In 2009 AIST will assist UNHCR by building 2 high school classrooms in the small camp of Nakauali, right on the Congo border. Nakauali has a population of 40,000 people with no high school facilities available for students once they complete primary school.

Each speaker and chair at the symposium will be thanked for their contribution via a donation to UNHCR towards this cause on their behalf.
